CHINA: Xiaomi, a well-known manufacturer of smartphones, plans to introduce the Redmi Note 12 series in India. The company has already revealed an entry-level phone in its own country in advance of the launch. Meanwhile, the Redmi 12C has been introduced in China. The smartphone has a 5,000 mAh battery and a 6.71-inch HD+ screen.
Redmi 12C Specifications
The 6.71-inch HD+ screen on the Redmi 12C has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels. The back of the smartphone has diagonal stripes that make it non-slip. It has a fingerprint scanner on the back for added security.
The phone is equipped with an octa-core Helio G85 processor and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. It features up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The phone has a microSD card slot that allows you to increase the available storage to 512 GB.
The Redmi 12C has a dual camera arrangement at the back to handle camera responsibilities. A second camera sensor is connected to the 50 MP primary camera. Portrait mode, time-lapse photography, and night scene mode are supported.
The smartphone sports a 5 MP front-facing camera for taking selfies. The MIUI 13 specialised operating system, based on Android 12, powers the Redmi 12C.
A 5,000mAh battery powers the gadget. It includes a typical 5 V, 2 A charger. A micro-USB connector, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 4G network, and a microSD card slot are features for connectivity.
Redmi 12C pricing
The basic price of the Redmi 12C in China is CNY699, which converts to around Rs 8,385.
The smartphone is also available in 4GB RAM+128GB ROM and 6GB RAM+128GB ROM versions. These are priced at CNY 799 and CNY 899, which are roughly equivalent to Rs. 9,585 and Rs. 10,785 per item.
Starting today, it will be available for purchase in China on the corporation’s official website. There are no specifics regarding the phone’s introduction in other nations.
