GERMANY: BMW Motorrad has introduced a new limited-edition version of its flagship adventure-touring motorcycle, the R 1250 GS, for select European markets.
The R 1250 GS Ultimate Edition, available in a Triple Black colorway, is equipped with several premium packages as standard and limited to just 2,100 units globally.
The R 1250 GS Ultimate Edition features the Option 719 accessories pack, which includes machined billet aluminium parts that enhance the motorcycle’s aesthetics.
The Dynamic package enhances the bike’s performance with a semi-active suspension setup, Pro riding modes, and a shift assist system.
As their names suggest, the Touring and Comfort packages improve the bike’s touring capabilities while adding more comfort for the rider.
The Touring pack comprises a cruise control system, navigation technology, hand guards, and pannier mounts, while the Comfort package adds keyless operations and heated grips to the R 1250 GS.
Along with these packages, BMW has included several other premium features in this motorcycle, such as a tinted windscreen, black crash bars, black cross-spoked wheels, LED auxiliary lighting, a bidirectional quick-shifter, and a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system.
The R 1250 GS Ultimate Edition comes with a golden ‘Ultimate Edition’ badge, while the design remains unaltered, making it similar to the standard variant. Mechanical specifications are also identical to the standard R 1250 GS.
BMW has listed the limited-edition motorcycle on the company’s Italian and British websites, but there has yet to be a word on an India launch.
BMW Motorrad is preparing to unveil the successor to its current flagship adventure-tourer motorcycle. Bike enthusiasts expect BMW to showcase it towards the end of this year, possibly at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy.
The BMW R 1250 GS is a well-known name in the adventure-touring segment, and the Ultimate Edition takes it to another level with premium upgrades that enhance its performance and touring capabilities.
The limited-edition nature of the bike makes it even more appealing to enthusiasts looking for something exclusive and rare.
