UNITED STATES: I Came By, a mystery thriller film, has been released on Netflix. Since the trailer release, the movie has appeared to be a mystery wrapped with horror elements.
Babak Anvari’s I Came By stars a talented ensemble cast
Babak Anvari’s directorial film finally debuted on Netflix. The filmmaker’s popular works include the 2016 horror-thriller film, Under the Shadow, and the 2019 psychological horror film, Wounds (starring Dakota Johnson and Zazie Beetz).
The movie was available to stream on Netflix from August 31, 2022. The mystery-thriller feature stars George MacKay in the forefront. The actor is widely popular for his work in the Academy Award-winning film 1917. Kelly Macdonald, Percelle Ascott, Hugh Bonneville, and Varada Sethu also star in the lead roles.
I Came By synopsis read, ‘’A graffiti artist who targets homes of the elite uncovers a twisted secret in a hidden basement — triggering events that put his loved ones in danger.’’
Netflix revealed the trailer of the film on August 1, 2022. The streaming giant tweeted, ‘’I CAME BY is a dark thriller starring Hugh Bonneville, George Mackay, Kelly Macdonald, and Percelle Ascott. In select cinemas 19 August and on Netflix 31 August.’’
According to the tweet, in addition to the I Came By release on Netflix, the mystery-thriller film was also released in selected theatres on August 19, 2022.
Babak Anvari and Namsi Khan penned the script for I Came By. The mystery-thriller film is bankrolled by Lucan Toh. Isobel Waller-Bridge provided the music for the movie. Kit Fraser’s cinematography emerged as a highlighting element of the feature in the trailer.
I Came By currently has 68 percent of critics’ ratings and 38 percent of audience ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. The mystery-thriller film has an IMDB rating of 6/10. The Metacritic score of the movie stands at 58 percent.
