INDIA: Last week, a gold mine was found in Chandrapur and Sindhudurg districts in Maharashtra. In a recent development, the Geological Survey of India (GSI) also claimed that a gold mine was spotted in Nagpur.

“The district’s western block is a gold deposit,” GSI said. The Parsodi, Kitali, Marupara, and Bhimsen Fort mountains in the Bhandara district are included in its scope.

According to the GSI, who conducted a thorough investigation, the Parsodi region’s Bhiwapur area may contain significant gold reserves.

Additionally, the GSI claims that the state government previously did not take its report seriously. However, it was later said that the excavation in the mentioned sites never happened.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed Chandrapur district’s gold reserves.

In addition, the GSI research suggested that the Bhandara district’s Khairi Itwahi, Bhimsen Fort area, and Gharara-Madki area may contain subterranean gold reserves. Gold and other valuable metals have been concealed in stone beneath Vidarbha’s dark soil.

This study was undertaken many years ago by the GSI in the Bhandara district’s Khairi Itwahi and Bhimsen Fort neighbourhood.

At that time, it was discovered that the area had several significant metals underground. The GSI has informed the state government that it includes tungsten, copper, and gold.

The state administration has recently received a report from the GSI regarding the survey conducted in the Chandrapur district.

As a result, it has been hypothesized that the soil in the Bamhani area may contain gold and base metal.5.9 sq km of land makes up the Bamhani area’s gold-bearing region.

The GSI officials claims that after researching the various metals that can be found underground, they informed the relevant governments that gold resources could be found there.

In these three locations, actual gold mining will be feasible once the corresponding blocks are given to any private enterprise.

Chief Minister Shinde believes that when gold mining begins, Maharashtra’s revenue should rise. This means that despite financial difficulties, the state’s development projects will continue.
