INDIA: There were a variety of movies released in 2021, some of which were dull and others were not worth watching. Last year, Bollywood, as usual, stuck to its remake and biopic formula, which appears to be working at times and deranged at others. On the other hand, Freshly baked content-driven movies, always find a place in the hearts of hardcore movie buffs.

5) State of Siege: Temple Attack

Plot: What will happen if a devotee visiting the temple is a victim of a terror attack? It may sound like something out of a movie, but it is a harsh reality. The pain endured by the worshippers of the Akshardham temple during the terrorist attack of 2002 can barely be imagined.

The story is recounted through the eyes of NSG commandos and devotees who are being held as hostages.

Plot: A biographical comedy-drama based on the life of Bharat Lal Bihari, a farmer from a small village, Amilo Mubarakpur. When his family members attempt to seize his land, they devise a dreadful plan that declares Lal Bihari dead on paper by the government. The story center’s on his real-life events, which portray his 19-year struggle and fight to prove his existence.

A sweet and aspiring story with another outstanding performance by Pankaj Tripathi, which is a must-watch with friends and family.

Plot: Considered to be an official remake of Marathi film Mala Aai Vahhaychy! Story centers on Mimi, a local dancer who dreams of becoming a Bollywood celebrity. When Bhanu approaches her with a surrogacy offer, her world is turned upside down.

With its philosophical message, presenting the dark side of surrogacy this movie is must watch with family and friends.
