UNITED STATES: According to reports, Meta’s famous messaging service, WhatsApp, is working on a new feature to enhance group moderation.

The new feature, called “admin review,” will allow group admins to better moderate their groups by allowing group members to report specific messages to the admin for review.

According to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks changes in WhatsApp builds, the feature will enable admins to delete messages that violate the group’s rules or are deemed inappropriate.

Once a group member reports a message, it will be given to the administrator for consideration, and the administrator will have the option of deciding whether to remove it from the group as a whole.

Only group admins will be able to see the reported messages in a new section of the app under group info.

The feature is expected to offer group members better control over the content shared within the group, making it easier for admins to moderate their groups. Since the option will be located within the group settings screen, only group admins can turn on this feature.

The new WhatsApp feature is currently being developed and will be released to beta testers in future updates. It is anticipated that the feature will soon be available to Android users.

In addition to the admin review feature, WhatsApp is also testing a new feature that will differentiate missed call names in red within the calls tab. This update will make it easier for users to identify missed calls by highlighting their names in red.

The feature is currently being tested and is only available to beta testers, but it is expected to be released to Android users soon. More than two billion people use WhatsApp daily, making it one of the most popular messaging services worldwide.

The app has continued to add new features to improve its functionality and user experience. The upcoming admin review feature is just one of the many improvements expected to be rolled out soon.
