INDIA: In a world teeming with diverse content, language barriers often hinder accessibility. Acknowledging this challenge, Akash Nidhi P S and Satvik Jagannath founded Vitra.ai in 2020, an AI-based video translation platform designed to make videos, podcasts, and other rich content accessible across languages.

Revolutionizing Content Translation with Vitra.ai

Vitra.ai, established in 2020, is an AI-driven platform that offers seamless translation services for various media formats, including videos, images, websites, podcasts, and text. “In today’s time, everyone is creating content, whether it is a $100B company or an influencer on Instagram. But many of them fail to reach a wider audience because of the language barrier,” says Satvik Jagannath, Co-Founder of Vitra.ai.

Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness

Vitra.ai claims that its solutions are 100 times faster and 80% cheaper than manual translation processes globally. With a focus on news, social media, and video content creators, the platform has extended its services to various industries, including edtech, media, fintech, and health tech.

Jagannath highlights, “We are helping businesses and influencers reach more people by translating their content to more languages. Our product helps people understand content in a language they are comfortable with.”

Market Potential and Recognition at TechSparks Bengaluru 2023

Nidhi PS mentions that the global market size for translation is projected to reach $98.11 billion by 2028. Vitra.ai has gained recognition through participation in events like TechSparks Bengaluru 2023, showcasing its innovative AI-driven language solutions to a broad audience of investors, industry experts, and peers.

The platform boasts three products: translate.video, translate.website, and translate.photo, enabling users to translate videos, websites, and images effortlessly. These products are designed to be user-friendly, employing a drag-and-drop and no-code solution approach. Jagannath notes that, on average, a 10-minute video can be translated in about five to six minutes.

Target Audience and Unique Features

While Vitra.ai primarily targets B2B enterprises such as HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and others, it has also introduced a B2C SaaS product called Translate.video for influencers. The platform distinguishes itself by not relying on literal word-to-word translations but instead utilizing a context-aware engine for more natural and human-like translations.

Competition and Funding

Jagannath acknowledges competitors in the translation space, including agencies like TransPerfect, Lionbridge, and startups like PaperCup, Devnagri, Dubverse.ai, DubDub.ai. After initially being bootstrapped, Vitra.ai has secured approximately $560,000 in funding from investors like 100x.vc and Inflexor VC.

Future Aspirations

Looking ahead, Jagannath expresses the company’s goal to become the go-to translation platform for all rich content media formats. The overarching mission is to break language barriers and make the web accessible to billions of people globally.
