This win marked Kohli’s 296th victory with the Indian cricket team, surpassing MS Dhoni’s record of 295 wins. The next milestone in sight for Kohli is Tendulkar’s record of 307 victories, a testament to the longevity and success of the Little Master’s career.

The first Test showcased India’s dominance, as they clinched victory by an innings and 141 runs on the third day of the match. Led by stand-in captain Rohit Sharma, the Indian team exhibited a brilliant performance, with debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal stealing the limelight with a scintillating knock of 171 runs.

Presently, India holds a rating of 121 in the ICC Test team rankings, while Australia follows closely in second place with 116 points. The ongoing Ashes series between Australia and England adds an intriguing subplot to the rankings.

If certain results favor Australia, led by captain Pat Cummins, they have the opportunity to surpass India and claim the coveted top spot. It further adds to the excitement surrounding the upcoming Test match as Team India strives to maintain its status as the world’s best Test team.

Virat Kohli’s accomplishments in international cricket are a testament to his dedication, skill, and leadership. As he continues his pursuit of excellence, he remains determined to etch his name alongside the greats of the game, especially Sachin Tendulkar, whose record of 307 victories stands as a monumental achievement.

Cricket fans worldwide eagerly await the second Test match between India and the West Indies, anticipating Kohli’s further contributions and whether he can inch closer to the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s monumental record.
