Pushkar-Gayathri’s directorial Vikram Vedha is the official remake of the 2017 Tamil film of the same name. The filmmaker duo also directed the original film, which starred Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan at the forefront. In the Hindi remake, Hrithik plays the role of Vedha and Saif plays the role of Vikram.

The teaser depicts Hrithik and Saif in action

In the teaser, Vikram’s quest for Vedha appears to unfold in a chilling instance. The video depicts Hrithik Roshan as a gangster performing a stunning action sequence. Saif Ali Khan is also seen reloading the gun and chasing a criminal who is showcased through a technically brilliant camera shot.

Later, Hrithik is seen clutching a sword in his hand. The character’s slight swing of the deadly weapon and stylish glasses stained with blood sends chills in the people in his immediate vicinity. Following the sword fight scene, Vedha is seen wreaking havoc with an automatic gun.

Saif portrays Vikram as a cool-headed, brilliant cop who uses his intelligence like a weapon of death rather than firearms as he pursues the criminal. The majority of the teaser demonstrates Vikram searching for Vedha, indicating the character’s potential to unfold the mystery.

The teaser concludes with Hrithik stating, “It’s easy to choose between good and bad, but in this story, both are bad.” As the title cards appear, the iconic BGM from the original film begins to play, heightening the suspense.

T-Series Films’ Bhushan Kumar produced Vikram Vedha along with YNOT Studios, Friday Filmworks, and Reliance Entertainment. Neeraj Pandey (popular for A Wednesday and Baby) handed the screenplay for the neo-noir action thriller film.

Vikram Vedha is set to debut in theatres globally on September 30, 2022.
