INDIA: Lokesh Kanagraj’s directorial Master, starring Thalapathy Vijay, arrived on the big screens on January 13, 2021. Since its release, the Tamil actioner created a tsunami at the box office. Following its huge success in Indian theatres, the movie is set to release in Japan.
Lokesh Kanagraj’s Master gets a Japanese release
Entertainment Industry tracker Ramesh Bala tweeted, “After #RRRInJapan, #Thalapathy @actorvijay’s #Master is being dubbed in Japanese will release on November 18th there.. Titled #Sensei.’’
According to the tweet, Master is gearing up to release in Japan, and it is also set to arrive in the Japanese dub. The Tamil action film will be released on November 18, 2022. The movie is officially titled, Sensei for the Japanese release.
Lokesh Kanagraj added his directorial vision to Master and also penned the story. The action film starred Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles.
Malavika Mohanan joined the team as the female lead. Nassar, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das, and Gouri G. Kishan round up the star cast in pivotal roles.
S Xavier Britto bankrolled Master under the production banner of XB Film Creators. Sathyan Sooryan handled the cinematography, and Philomin Raj edited the action film. Anirudh Ravichander provided the electrifying background music for the feature.
Vijay’s film was released on the Pan-Indian level in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. According to box office stats, the Tamil film bagged a whopping gross collection of ₹ 230 crores on a budget of ₹ 135 crores.
Master joined the list of the highest-grossing Tamil films of all time with the humongous box office collection. The Tamil action film ranks fifteenth on the spot behind Beast (2022).
Thalapathy Vijay recently starred in Nelson’s Beast. On the work front, the Tamil superstar is set to appear in Vamshi Paidipally’s Varisu. The film will release in January 2023.
