INDIA/SPAIN: The founders and partners of the Transcontinental Times are delighted to announce the joining of Asaweri Yadav to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief, effective from July 1. Asaweri is a journalism graduate from Manipal University, Karnataka and is currently based in Lucknow. Along with this, she also holds a Master’s degree in communications from Saint Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
Asaweri has vast experience in journalism including managing newspapers and watching their content. She has a specific interest in covering political stories and stories that touch the lives of grassroots.
Asaweri believes that journalism is all about putting facts and information into the right perspective. “Information is present everywhere but putting it in the right perspective and the right light is what our readers need at the time,” she said.
Talking about her new role Asaweri said, ” I am elated as I say this, Transcontinental Times has presented me with an opportunity that is not only international in nature but in sync with my own paradigms regarding journalism. Extremely excited to be a part of this amazing team.”
Transcontinental Times is a digital newspaper established in Madrid, Spain. An Indian-Spanish writer, entrepreneur, and award-winning filmmaker, known for his short films and non-fiction books, Roshan Bhondekar, founded the news media with his life partner Dr. Sahra Ardah in June 2020.
