UNITED STATES: The new trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One has been released, causing excitement among fans. The sequel to the action film follows Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) on a mission that will bring his story to a close. The film was announced in 2019, but it took a considerable amount of time to complete. Cinephiles are eagerly anticipating the return of their favourite hero to the silver screen. The movie is scheduled to release on July 12.
The action-packed trailer begins with Agent Ethan Hunt (played by Cruise) parking his motorbike at the edge of a cliff. A voiceover warns him, “Ethan, this mission will come at a great cost.” Agent Eugene Kittridge issued a warning to Ethan as his team attempted to track down a high-alert weapon that could potentially destroy humanity.
The film features Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, and Vanessa Kirby. The synopsis from the makers read, “In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet: To track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands.”
“With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, and dark forces from Ethan’s past closing in, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission – not even the lives of those he cares about most,” it added.
However, the trailer did not reveal any details about the plot or mission. It did, however, promise an exciting and action-packed experience.
The movie’s production underwent a major shutdown for a while. The team was going through a rough phase of the pandemic, and a video from the sets went viral, where Tom Cruise was seen scolding two crew members for not following on-set COVID-19 protocols. Soon after that, the wrapping up of the filming will be done in September 2021.
The film Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning: Part One is written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie and is based on the TV series created by Bruce Geller. The next part, Dead Reckoning Part Two, is set to be released next year on June 28, 2024, and is confirmed to be Tom’s final chapter as Ethan Hunt.
