SOUTH KOREA: Samsung recently unveiled two new foldable devices today in India: the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the smaller Galaxy Z Flip 4. The new foldable devices surpass the Galaxy Fold and Flip from the previous year in terms of internal specifications and other improvements.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 are covered in detail in this article.
New features
On the inside of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, there is a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display panel. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can dynamically switch from 1Hz to 120Hz depending on the task at hand. This is the main, folding screen.
When the Fold 4 is closed, users can operate on a smaller outside screen, which complements this. This 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel can support refresh rates of 120 Hz once more. However, while trying to conserve battery, the outside panel can only go as low as 48 Hz.
Three storage options are available for the phone, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU. Although all three models have 12GB RAM, you may select from 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of internal storage.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 includes two front cameras, one for the outer display and one for the larger inner display. It also has a triple camera on the back.
A 12MP main camera with OIS and a second 12MP ultrawide camera with a 123-degree field of view forms the dual camera arrangement on the back of the phone. A 10MP front camera is available for taking selfies and making video calls.
Other features include compatibility for Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, an IPX8 certification, One UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12L, and a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor, and Bluetooth 5.2.
Pricing
The price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 starts at USD 999. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 costs USD 1,799 and above at the moment. As soon as both gadgets are available in India, the Indian price range will be known.
