INDIA: Vijay Antony, a well-known actor and music director in India, was home when a horrible tragedy took place on September 19. According to police reports, his 16-year-old daughter Meera Antony, apparently committed suicide, ending her life in a tragic way.
Early in the morning, the young teen was discovered hanging in her Teynampet home. She was brought to a city hospital right away after prompt action was taken. When they arrived, the doctors declared her to be “brought dead.”
Antony’s had two daughters, one of whom was Meera. She was enrolled in Class 12 at a private school, according to reports. As a case has been filed and an investigation is ongoing, the authorities claimed they have started looking into this unfortunate and untimely death.
According to one X user, Vijay’s father is alleged to have committed suicide. The user also posted a video of the actor, in which he explains why suicide is never an option.
Zoho’s CEO, Sridar Vembu, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he was taken aback by the news of Meera Antony’s death. He shared condolences and asked the Lord to give Vijay’s family strength to endure this painful time.
Vembu wrote, “I was shocked to hear about the suicide of Meera, daughter of my friend and musician/actor/director Vijay Antony. Deeply pained beyond words at his and his wife Fatima’s loss. May the Lord give them the strength to endure this tragedy. RIP Meera.”
Veteran actor R Sarathkumar expressed his grief over the unexpected and terrible death of Vijay Antony and Fatima’s daughter, stating that there is no way to compensate for their enduring pain with sympathy or consolation.
He wrote, “The news of the untimely and unfortunate demise of the daughter of @vijayantony and Fatima is shocking beyond imaginations. No amount of consoling and condolences can replace the everlasting grief of Vijay Antony and Fatima.”
“Vijay I hope the almighty gives strength to your family to bear the unfathomable loss,” he added.
“Woke up to this shocking news! Deepest condolences Vijay Antony Sir and family,” director Venkat Prabhu added.
