Start-ups launched solutions to help Malls & Hotels to ensure government’s social distancing norms

INDIA, New Delhi: After the long wait, the Indian Government has allowed opening Malls, commercial complexes, corporate offices & Hotels with guidelines. Some technology mechanized start-ups are presenting exclusive and uncommon solutions to help businesses to fray the fear of coronavirus infection.

Staqu Technologies, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based startup is leveraging its video analytics platform, Jarvis, to restrain the increase of infection in malls & hotels. The company has 15 clients for its software that uses active closed-circuit television (CCTV) and thermal cameras to verify in case social distancing is being retained and also to monitor employees’ body temperature in actual time. For commercial malls, the platform will be competent to send real-time alerts to confirm how many people go into a lift, whether they wear masks or uphold social distancing. With the advancement of technology and a bunch of customized solutions, Gurugram based start-up Park+ has come up with a solution for malls by incorporating four components including thermal scanners and contactless parking. The firm has teamed up with malls in Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal, and Coimbatore.

The app-based solution will allow employees to check customers and also track their body temperature. The company has created the app in such a way wherein the customers will have to scan a QR code before entering and even exiting the shop or mall, which will eventually help in keeping eye on the number of footfalls in each store.

The company has mentioned there is a possibility of contactless parking through the Park+ app where a consumer needs to enter their vehicle details and the app will show the fees which can be pay through digital payment. After payment, the information of the vehicle will be sent to the POS device to the guard at the parking exit gate. With the help of the POS device, the guard can check all the information and allow the consumer to exit the mall. There is an additional feature in Park+ app through which consumer can book the mall parking in advance
Apart from social distancing, companies are also talking about the control of temperature in Malls and commercial complexes that need air sanitization. That’s where companies such as Magneto CleanTech have stepped in with an advanced version of its magneto central air cleaner. Considering the peaking summer the air conditioning systems need to be run unremitting and securely.

Even globally, technology is facilitating to deal with COVID. Israeli scientists have developed a system to produce a tap water-based, pathogen-killing disinfectant, and also have partnered with local industrial automation solutions company RD Pack to roll out a ‘sanitation tunnel’ that will allocate for a safer doorway to public places. The tunnel integrates the disinfectant solution and includes an extra layer of protection by spraying it on those looking to enter a space. Also, the tunnel has the facility of sensors to pick up when a person is passing through it.
