JAPAN: Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume no Tojimari bagged a cinematically striking trailer that provides a bit of new information about the film’s storyline. In addition to the surreal anime clip, the makers have released a new key visual featuring the lead characters, which piques our interest in the filmmaker’s visionary concept, set to unfold in theatres.
The latest anime title from Makoto Shinkai is arriving in theatres soon. The first trailer opened to a lot of positive responses, but the viewers were, as usual, puzzled about the film’s story, much like every Shinkai film’s teaser trailer. Now the latest clip gives hints of the story premise in a musical way that showers us with ethereal visuals and dreamy sequences.

The latest trailer opens with the theme song ‘’Suzume’’ by Toaka which was also featured in the first trailer. The music itself feels so magical and mesmerising that it grabs our attention. This time we get our main characters interacting with each other, which is somewhat related to mystical doors. A talking cat and a chair appear as cute aspects with relaxing voices, which find their way into the clip.
The mention of doors in the clip and the title itself provide them as a plot device encasing mysterious elements. From the video, it appears that doors serve as a medium for opening numerous calamities. Given that it is a Shinkai movie, natural disasters will undoubtedly play a significant part, as evident in Your Name and Weathering with You.
The video also showcases additional characters set to appear in the film, which were absent in the previous clip. In just a few seconds, every persona slightly tries to set up the world of Shinkai’s film, which most of the viewers wouldn’t notice. Plus, the visuals are also there, brimming with numerous details, which is again the specialty of Shinkai’s film.
