Suzume Tojimari emerges as Makoto Shinkai’s much-awaited film. Now, a new musical update doubles the anticipation for the upcoming adventure movie. CoMix Wave Films, Story Inc., and TOHO unveiled that Radwimps will provide the music for the feature. The musical collaboration marks the third time partnership of the famed rock band with the talented filmmaker.
Radwimps has earlier worked with Shinkai on You Name and Weathering with You. Given the phenomenal music titled “Sparkle” and “We’ll Be Alright” in both films, the rock band’s upcoming collaboration assures another soothing melody is arriving on the way.
In addition to Radwimps, the Pokemon Detective Pikachu (2019) and Ghost in the Shell (2020) famed Kazuma Jinnouchi will also join the team as a musical composer. The studio also unveiled the arrival of Toaka, who provided her voice to the soothing trailer theme song, “Suzume.”
Previously, the trailer captivated viewers with surreal animation. Aside from the stunning visuals, the music of the official clip became an instant hit, spawning a slew of music montages on social media platforms.

Many fans believe that characters from previous Shinkai films will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming film at some point.
Recently, the makers also announced that Suzume no Tojimari will be screened in IMAX along with a regular screening on November 11, 2022. Ahead of the film’s release, Your Name, Weathering with You, and 5 Centimeters Per Second will also be released in IMAX. All the given Shinkai movies will be released across 41 theatres in Japan on September 30, 2022.
