INDIA: Hanu-Man is the upcoming Telugu venture on the superhero genre written and directed by Prasanth Varma. The film was unveiled almost a year ago, and since then, it has piqued the interest of Indian superhero enthusiasts. After the announcement clip and two-character first look release, Prasanth has hinted at the impending teaser on Twitter.
Prasanth tweeted about his upcoming superhero film Hanu-Man on Tuesday. Via his Twitter account, he posted an official announcement for a forthcoming teaser, tweeting,” #HanuManTeaser cut done!” Working on VFX! I will announce the release date soon!!
Prasanth’s extraordinary vision has birthed some of the finest films in the Telugu film industry
Prasanth Varma is a visionary director who redefines the Telugu cinema culture with his groundbreaking concepts. In 2011, he made his directorial debut with the short film Deenamma Jeevitham. Prasanth rose to prominence in the feature film industry after directing the psychological thriller Awe! in 2018.
His magnum opus film starred Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, and Regina Cassandra.Considering a total box office collection of 25 crores on a budget of 5 crores, Prasanth’s take on the psychological genre was praised by critics and the wider populace.
Following the release of Awe!, Prasanth has pursued in the footsteps of creative directors with films such as Kalki (2019) and Zombie Reddy (2021). In addition to his unique concepts, he also worked as a writer for Malik Ram’s directorial Adbhutham (2021). Zombie Reddy was a big office hit during the pandemic among his film endeavors.
The Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe encompasses Hanu-Man and Adhira
On May 29, 2021, Prasanth announced his first pan-Indian superhero film, Hanu-Man, and a year later, he announced Adhira, with Kalyan Dasari’s debut. Hanu-Man and Adhira are destined to be part of his superhero cinematic universe, now termed the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.
The superhero film, Hanu-Man, will star Teja Sajja in the lead along with Amritha Aiyer and is set within the fictional universe of Anjanadri. Till now, the announcement clip plus two first looks showcasing Hanumanthu (Teja Sajja) and Meenakshi (Amritha Aiyer) can be considered as the only edition encompassing the lore and legends of Prasanth’s Cinematic Universe.
