UNITED STATES: OTT giant Netflix confirmed that the popular series Stranger Things will soon release its animated series. The OTT giant confirmed the news in an open statement on Monday. Set in a sci-fi world, the animated series is currently under development at Netflix. As we all know, Stranger Things will end after season 5, but surprisingly, co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer confirmed that the universe will keep growing. Till now, there are no details on the premise or the voice cast yet and other details are kept under wraps.

The Duffer brothers, creators of the authentic Stranger Things series, said in a joint statement, “We’ve always dreamed of an animated ‘Stranger Things’ in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving.” Interestingly, the Duffer Brothers also claimed that the show would be similar to ‘Saturday morning cartoons’, which coincides with the live-action series’ 1980s timeline. So, we can expect something like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or G.I. Joe.
