INDIA. Mumbai: In a momentous event, the Army Public School, Mumbai, unveiled its leading-edge laboratory- the “Avishkar” laboratory, catapulting scientific education to new heights at a function held on Tuesday.
The complex was inaugurated at the hands of Lt Gen HS Kahlon, General Officer Commanding Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa Area and Harkiran Kahlon.
The labs are compliant with the latest CBSE norms aligned with National Education Policy (NEP) 2022. These Labs are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, demonstrating the school’s commitment to delivering world-class education in the field of science. The new labs will cater to Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) stimulus to students along with state-of-the-art Robotics and ATAL Tinkering Lab initiatives, an official statement read.
On the occasion, Lt Gen HS Kahlon emphasized the pivotal role of science education in nurturing the potential of young minds. He stressed the importance of providing a conducive environment for holistic learning, ensuring that students are equipped to excel in the realm of science and education.
The inauguration of these labs stands as a pivotal milestone and a moment of pride in the educational journey of Army Public School Mumbai.
Army Public School is located at Colaba in South Mumbai, India. It belongs to the network of Army Public Schools and is managed under the direction of the Indian Army. Indian communities near and around Army sites are home to Army schools.
The school was established in 1984 under the aegis of AWES (Army Welfare Education Society, New Delhi), primarily to impart quality education to the children of Defence Personnel at an affordable cost.
