SRI LANKA: Sri Lanka defeats India by 3 wickets to win the 3rd and final ODI match of the 3-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka. India failed to whitewash Sri Lanka after winning the first two matches of this series. But India won the ODI series and now they will play against Sri Lanka in a T20I series which will start from 25 July.
In this 3rd ODI India won the toss and they’ve decided to bat first and again Prithvi Shaw gave India a quick start. Indian skipper got out after scoring 13 runs off 11 deliveries and after that Sanju Samson and Prithvi Shaw Stitched up a 74 runs partnership. Prithvi Shaw fell just 1 run short of his half-century. Prithvi Shaw scored 49 runs off 49 deliveries. After Shaw, Manish Pandey came out to bat with Sanju Samson. Samson was looking good but he also fell 4 runs short of his half-century. Samson scored 46 runs off 46 deliveries.
Manish Pandey yet again failed to score a significant amount of runs as he got out after scoring 11 runs off 19 deliveries. Suryakumar Yadav played well for his 40 runs off 37 deliveries, while Hardik Pandya scored 19 off 17 deliveries. India was losing in quick succession as Nitish Rana and Krishnappa Gowtham got out cheaply. India was struggling at 195/8 after 32.5 overs. Navdeep Saini and Rahul Chahar tried to save the Indian innings but India innings but Indian Team got All-out. India scored 225/10 after 43.1 overs. This match got reduced to 47 overs per side due to rain.

From the Sri Lankan side, Akila Dananjaya and Praveen Jayawickrama both took 3 wickets whereas Dushmantha Chameera took 2 wickets and Dasun Shanaka and Chamika Karunaratne took 1 wicket each.
Sri Lankan Team had to score 226 runs in 47 overs to win the match. Sri Lankan opener Minod Bhanuka got out cheaply after scoring just 7 runs but after that Bhanuka Rajapaksa and opener Avishka Fernando stitched up a 109 runs partnership. When Bhanuka Rajapaksa got out after scoring 65 off just 56 deliveries which included 12 fours, Sri Lanka was 144/2 after 23 overs.
After Bhanuka, Dhananjaya de Silva got out just after scoring 2 runs. Avishka Fernando scored yet another half-century, he scored 76 off 98 deliveries which included 4 fours and 1 six. After Avishka got out Sri Lanka were 214/6 after 36.2 overs and it was quite clear that Sri Lanka is winning this game.
India picked some quick wickets but it was just too late as Sri Lanka won the match by 3 wickets. For India Rahul Chahar took 3 wickets, Chetan Sakariya took 2 wickets and Krishnappa Gowtham and Hardik Pandya took 1 wicket each. India won the ODI series 2-1.
