UNITED STATES: The most recent version of OpenAI’s rapidly expanding generative text tool, ChatGPT, was used by Snapchat to develop its own chatbot, “My AI,” according to a press statement from the firm.

At this time, My AI will only be available to Snapchat+ subscribers. To access exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features, these subscribers pay $3.99 (Rs 329) every month.

The business said in the press release introducing the new features that “My AI can provide birthday present ideas for your BFF, plan a hiking trip for a long weekend, suggest a dish for dinner, or even create a haiku about cheese for your cheddar-obsessed friend.”

“The social media platform did note that the chatbot is prone to delusion and can be misled into saying just about anything.” “Please be aware of its numerous flaws and accept our apologies in advance,” it continued.

The customer should not divulge any secrets to My AI, according to the business, and they should not rely on its recommendations. The company will record and examine the user discussions to improve accuracy.

The company continued, “My AI is intended to eliminate biased, inaccurate, harmful, or misleading information, but mistakes may still occur.”

CEO of Snapchat Evan Spiegel stated in an interview, “The main concept is that we will speak with AI every day in addition to our friends and family.” “We are in a good position to accomplish this as a messaging service.” He claims that eventually, the bot would be available to all 750 million monthly Snapchat users.

By touching and holding any AI-generated message, Snapchat invites users to offer input in order to increase the AI’s accuracy.

After the release of ChatGPT, it has changed the game for tech businesses.  Virtually every tech firm, from Google to Microsoft, is trying to develop and release its own AI chatbot.
