INDIA: The spine-chilling murder of Shraddha Walker has been in the headlines for quite some time now. Shrxaddha’s boyfriend, Aftab Poonawala, chopped her body into 35 pieces and threw it into the forested areas around Delhi. Meanwhile, the victim is under arrest, and the entire case is being investigated.
Poonawala was arrested on November 12 and was sent to five-day police custody, which was further extended by five days on November 17. However, the release was delayed for four more days. Poonawala has admitted to the gruesome crime but is yet to reveal the details.
As per the reports, the alleged murderer is manipulating the case and trying to mislead the investigators. Due to that, he has to undergo another polygraph test session at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Rohini. Previously he has undergone three sessions of the test, which was held last Friday for three extended hours.
Meanwhile, Sanjeev Gupta, the assistant director of the FSL, said, “We kept our lab open over the weekend for the polygraph test. On Sunday, the investigating team confirmed that they have got approval for Poonawala’s custody from Tihar jail and will bring him to the lab for the remaining polygraph test session on Monday. We are also prepared for his narco test, which will be conducted at Baba Saheb Ambedkar hospital after completing the polygraph test.”
Adding more to it, he said, “Poonawala remained elusive during the main sessions, which is why we did not receive the desired responses. He was constantly coughing and sneezing, because of which the readings on the machine were affected. Data from the sessions was analyzed, and it was decided that a few key questions were unanswered.”
As per reports, Poonawala felt ill during the procedure of the test. It could be a trick to defend himself. Following the Polygraph test, he will undergo a narco test that will be held on December 5 for detailed information.
