INDIA: Sharman Joshi and Sahil Khan team up after two decades! An exciting update for all Sharman Joshi and Sahil Khan fans, as their ‘Chandu and Bantu’ are coming under one roof for a movie.
The actors who sparked laughter and puns with their films are reuniting on the silver screen. The movie will be written by Milap Zaveri. The ace actors came into the limelight in 2001 with Style and later in 2003 with Xcuse Me.
The upcoming yet-to-be-titled movie will be directed by Sam Khan, bankrolled by Hitesh Khushalani, and co-produced by Bhuvi Khushalani, Zafar Mehdi, and Ishaan Dutta.
Announcing the news, Joshi wrote, “With the film already ready to roll, I am absolutely excited. The films that Sahil and I made earlier brought about a lot of appreciation for the chemistry we shared on screen. It was our first commercial hit that was seen by Raju Hirani sir too, who then signed me for 3 Idiots (2009).”
During an interaction with the media, Sahil Khan said that he and the writer and director, Sam Khan, have known each other for a long time and are thrilled to be working under his leadership.
Sahil Khan went on to say that this film reunites him with Sharman. According to Khan, the 3 Idiots star is a fantastic actor and a joy to work with.
Giving an insight into the story, the writer Milap Zaveri, who is busy creating the dialogue and the screenplay, unveiled basic synopsis of the film.
According to Zaveri, the movie would be a complete entertainer. He continued by saying that it will have enough masala to keep the viewer firmly seated.
Talking about Sharman Joshi, he recently appeared in a Sony Liv series “Kafas”.
