INDIA: Shark Tank India’s second season, which airs on Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television, is in full swing. The 20th episode of this season, titled “Nurturing Indian Entrepreneurs,” debuted on January 27, 2023, between 10 and 11 p.m. IST.
Rahul Dua, a comedian, is the host of Shark Tank Season 2. Six sharks are involved: Aman Gupta (Co-Founder-CMO of boAt), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Anupam Mittal (Founder-CEO of Shaadi.com), Peyush Bansal (Founder-CEO of Lenskart.com), Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder-CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics), and Amit Jain (Co-Founder-CEO of CarDekho Group and InsuranceDekho.com).
Amit Jain replaced Ashneer Grover in Shark Tank India Season 2.
The sharks who appeared in this episode were Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, and Aman Gupta. The episode had three pitches.
Highlights of the 20th episode
Snitch (1st pitch): Siddharth Dungarwal, a proprietor of a clothing firm, presented his items during the first pitch. He described his company as “India’s fastest-growing fashion brand for men.” He also mentioned how his company was the first to introduce co-ord sets for males.
All the sharks were impressed by him after learning about his enterprise. Siddharth also mentioned how he has gained a lot of knowledge through the blogs and YouTube channels of the Sharks.
His request was for 0.5 percent equity and 1.5 crore rupees. Aman claimed that he also learned to launch his corporation using YouTube videos. Regarding the business aspect, Peyush said to Siddharth, “The five of us would like to offer you Rs 1.5 crore for a 1.5% share.” Siddharth accepted the deal and got very emotional.
Portl (2nd pitch): This pitch was all about a brand that sold a life-size interactive fitness mirror.The presentation was given by the company’s founders, Armaan Kandhari, Indraneel Gupta, and Vishal Chandapeta, who discussed their cutting-edge technological advancements.
They demanded Rs. 1.5 crore for 1% equity. Their mirrors are priced at Rs. 1.25 lakh each. After learning about their company, Anupam offered Rs 1.5 crore for 5% equity, Vineeta Rs 50 lakh for 1% equity, and Rs 1 crore as debt with a 12% interest rate.
Peyush, Namita, and Aman offered Rs 1 crore for Rs 50 lakh in loans and 2.5% equity. After much wrangling, the founders ultimately agreed to a price of Rs 1.5 crore for 2.5% equity and without any debt.
SAS Fat to Slim (3rd pitch): Shikha Aggarwal, the founder, presented her weight loss business as the last pitch. She discussed her plan for losing weight, which included dieting, getting enough rest, and skipping exercise. The Sharks were uncertain as a result.
After seeing the diet chart she planned for a diabetic person, Anupam said she was feeding him a deadly diet. All of the sharks turned down her request for funding.
