INDIA. NewDelhi. In a dramatic turnaround of events at Baku, Max Verstappen suffered tyre blow, whereas Sergio Perez wins the fourth Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sunday after Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen fails to score points. This win comes as his second F1 victory.

The left-rear tyre punctured and Max Verstappen couldn’t save himself from crashing into the concrete wall right before the completion of last five laps. The race was then suspended to clear debris strewn across the track. Reflecting on his crash, Verstappen couldn’t hold his disappointment and frustration. He got out of the car and kicked the blown tire after this unfortunate incident.

On winning the Grand Prix, Sergio Perez said, “I’m so, so happy, for today. Normally Baku is pretty crazy. First of all I have to say I’m very sorry for Max because he did a tremendous race and he really deserved the win. It would have been incredible to get that one-two for the team, but at the end, it is a fantastic day for us.”

Lewis Hamilton commented, “It’s a very painful experience. Today was really a stroke of bad luck but Max had bad luck too. Naturally I am sorry to all the team but we will regroup and try and come back stronger. It’s quite a humbling experience to come away with nothing after all the hard work.”
