INDIA. Mumbai: Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story becomes the only Indian nomination in the category of Excellence in the Title Design at the prestigious SXSW Film Festival.
The series is based on the book ‘The Scam’. Scam 1992 is produced by the prolific content studio Applause Entertainment. Ever since its release, the series has been winning hearts thanks to its riveting storyline, performances, and the gripping title track.
Adding yet another feather to its hat, the show has bagged a nomination at the distinguished SXSW Film Festival for the category of Excellence in Title Design. Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story: A Gripping Saga
Set in early nineties Bombay, the show captures the meteoric rise and the steep fall of Harshad Mehta- the flamboyant Big Bull of the stock market. A financial journalist Sucheta Dalal broke the story of India’s 500 Crore securities scam on 23rd April 1992. Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story boasts of a stellar cast including Pratik Gandhi, Shreya Dhanwathary, Hemant Kher, Chirag Vohra, Anjali Barot, Brinda Trivedi, Jay Upadhyay, Sharib Hashmi, Satish Kaushik, Anant Mahadevan, Rajat Kapoor, Nikhil Dwivedi, K K Raina, and Lalit Parimoo and is directed by National Award-winning director Hansal Mehta. ‘The Scam’ is based on one of the most famous scams in the Indian financial markets and is authored by well-known journalists Sucheta Dalal and Debashish Basu.
