INDIA. Haryana: Haryanvi sensation and Big Boss famed Sapna Chaudhary roped into legal trouble amid calling off to perform at an event in 2018. A case is lodged against her, claiming that the singer-dancer received the advance paycheck, signed the contract, and ditched at the last moment.
The organizers upheld the matter to jurisdiction as they bear heavy loss against her commitment, so she had to be produced before Lucknow’s ACJM court. In a current update, Sapna has surrendered herself to the law.
As per reports, the tickets for Sapna’s concert were sold at the cost of Rs 300 per ticket, both online and offline. The show tickets were not authorized for reimbursement. Following the dancer’s decision to cancel her performance, the crowd started a ruckus inside the concert venue.
The amount paid to the youth icon was in lakhs, and her unprofessional behaviour made her fans furious.
However, this is not the first time that Sapna called off a stage performance, but there are many instances from her past which proves her careless attitude towards commitment.
In February 2021, Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing logged a case against her accusing her of cheating and breach of trust.
A celebrity management company looking after PR activities of Sapna filed a complaint against her and her family for criminal breach of trust, criminal conspiracy, cheating, and misappropriation of funds.
The leading singer-dancer is popular in Haryana for all her on-stage item numbers on Haryanvi songs. She gained the limelight after entering the Big Boss house.
Besides that, she has acted in movies like Veerey Ki Wedding, Nanu Ki Jaanu and many others. She commenced her career from scratch. Coming from a middle-class family, she owned herself all money, fame and wealth.
