INDIA: The King of Romance is back with a bang in the theater. Shah Rukh Khan’s spy thriller Pathaan continues to gain worldwide success in the box office collection.
Pathaan scriptwriter teases Salman Khan and SRK team up
The much-anticipated movie is helmed by none other than Siddharth Anand, the hitmaker who marked Khan’s entry into the YRF’s Spy Universe. After the grand success of War (2019), the director added one more feather to his hat by giving a major hit like Pathaan.
Post the success of SRK’s Pathaan, there is noise in the air about making a “two-hero” movie with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in the spy universe. The idea struck after fans jumped off their seats, witnessing Salman Khan’s cameo appearance as Tiger in SRK’s latest release.
The duo is counted amongst the most prominent pair in Bollywood, last seen together sharing the screen almost 2 decades back in 1995.
Pathaan’s scriptwriter Shridhar Raghavan, in his recent interview with the media, talked about the future instalments of YRF Spy Universe, possible crossover projects, and much more.
Intriguing the audiences to the upcoming projects, the writer revealed if the audiences can expect a two-hero project featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan (possibly a crossover film with Pathaan and Tiger) in the future.
He stated, “Let us put it this way. If you are siblings, you guys will meet for Diwali, right? At some point, you all will catch up. So I’m sure there will be lots of combinations and permutations. The idea is to have as much fun as we can with these sorts of characters.”
Making things more clear, he said, “I usually write as a man seated in the front (of audiences). We all, in my opinion, start off thinking that this will be enjoyable to accomplish. We might end up attempting to do it, I believe.”
