Sajid Nadiadwala Announces ‘Kick 2’, Confirms Team up with Salman Khan

INDIA: Kick 2 confirmed! Sajid Nadiadwala, who began his journey into filmmaking, debuted for the very first time with Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ in 2014. Now, the ace director has confirmed that he is planning to make a sequel, reuniting with Salman.

The movie broke all box office records back then and collected Rs. 200 crore in India. This is by far the highest-grossing film for a debutant director.

In a recent interaction with the media in Dubai, Sajid assured that the sequel to Kick would come soon.

Sajid stated that Kick was his first film as a director and remains his favourite IP. The filmmaker also stated that whenever he speaks about Kick, he receives messages from the industry, and the digital world is filled with questions about when Kick 2 will go into production.

Kick will be given an extension, according to the director. He stated that the subject is on paper and is totally written, but it needs time.

According to Sajid, Kick 2 needs a larger scale and a better release date, as well as a return to the popularity of cinema viewing. The director added that he would be ready to take Kick 2 on floors once everything returns to normal.

Furthermore, Sajid stated that it was initially on his mind, but it is now on paper. The filmmaker claimed that Salman has also heard it and that all he needs now is for the audience’s interest to return so that he can schedule Kick 2 accordingly.

“We are currently in the post-Covid blind curve, and we need to respect the time that the audience needs. They need a great reason to come to the theatre, and we need to make a great film to bring them back,” he told the media.
