UKRAINE: Ukrainian officials have reported a “massive missile” attack by Russia on Kryvyi Rih, resulting in at least three deaths, 25 injuries, and damage to civilian infrastructure. Rescue efforts are underway for a five-story apartment complex and a demolished warehouse. The governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Serhiy Lysak, issued a statement on Telegram.

Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, condemned the attack on his hometown, Kryvyi Rih, stating on Telegram that Russian forces continue to target residential buildings, cities, and people. Military sources in Kyiv claimed that the air defense forces successfully shot down all Russian missiles aimed at the Ukrainian capital.

The military command of Ukraine reports that 10 out of 14 Russian cruise missiles and one Iranian drone were destroyed through air power. Russia has not responded to the alleged strikes, and both sides dispute whether civilians were intentionally targeted in the conflict.

The mayor of Kharkiv, an eastern Ukrainian city, alleged that Russian drones had struck civilian infrastructure, including a warehouse and a facility housing a utility firm, as mentioned on his Telegram channel. However, there is no recent data available regarding casualties.

In a separate incident in December, a Russian missile struck Zelenskiy’s hometown of Kryvyi Rih, resulting in 13 injuries and three fatalities. Social media footage depicted the destruction of residential complexes and the presence of rubble.

Military officials have confirmed that the air defense systems successfully destroyed all missiles and drones aimed at Kyiv. The adversary utilized Kh-101/555 cruise missiles. The military administration of Kyiv city has confirmed the detection and destruction of all enemy targets, with no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
