INDIA: The highly anticipated film Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is the latest talk of B-town. Since the poster was released, fans have been eagerly waiting to witness the magic on screen.
Now, the makers have finally released the music video for Tum Kya Mile, the first track from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani bags a romantic song
The salient chemistry between Ranveer and Alia is surely hypnotic. The song left a romantic spell amongst the audience, as Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal provided gravity to it by adding their melodious voice. The film will hit theatres on July 28, 2023.
The video opens with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh romancing in the snow-capped mountains, and it seems to have been shot in Kashmir. The picturesque location, the colourful sarees, and the snowfall give a high-pitch emotional touch.
Through the song, Karan Johar has paid homage to Yash Chopra, as the director earlier said. Before the song’s official release, Karan Johar penned a heartfelt note in which he shared his motive behind the song, Tum Kya Mile.
He wrote, “In a few hours, #tumkyamile will be yours… I remember at the very onset, my instinct was that I wanted to film a love song that would unabashedly pay homage to my guru, Yash Chopra. The thinking, evolved mind would say you can’t match it or even dare to emulate it, but the fanboy and the ardent lover of snow, chiffons, the stunning locations of Kashmir, and sheer romance got the better of me.”
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani marks the first shoot for Alia Bhatt after she delivered her daughter Raha. In the song, Alia is mostly seen wearing Gorgeous chiffon sarees, looking no less than an Angel. As per reports, this is Karan’s first film, which was entirely shot in India.
Talking about the shoot of the song, Johar further wrote, “In sympathy, I fell drastically ill through the shoot (a karmic punishment perhaps). Ranveer was nervous as this was his first lip sync mountain love song, but he was a real trooper….So we are back to the valleys for an ishq wala lip sync chiffon saree song… I hope you feel the love as much as we felt the cold. This one’s for you, Yash uncle… Your fan forever.”
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani marks Karan Johar’s return to the director’s chair after over six years.
