UNITED STATES: Nine times Grammy award winner Rihanna performed stunningly at the half-time interval at Sunday’s Super Bowl. The audience grew ecstatic after she announced her second pregnancy in the process.
Rihanna announced her pregnancy
The 34-year-old singer confirmed her pregnancy by her delivering the performance with a baby bump during a tense Super bowl game. Dressed in a baggy jumpsuit, loose enough to hide her curves, but her baby bump was visible as she revealed her skin-tight body suit.
The singer earlier last week had gotten her fans anticipated during an interview. She said, “I am thinking about bringing someone”, when asked whether she would be bringing any surprise guests or acts while performing at State Farm Stadium.
Fans inferred that she most probably would perform along with Jay-Z, Drake or Eminem. Fans were left dumbstruck by this surprise as she hinted at her second baby.
Her performance was coupled with dancers dressed in all white, all part of a well-choreographed and organized delivery that impressed fans. Rihanna sang “Only Girl (In the World)” and the famous, “Where Have You Been”. The fireworks and exceptional lighting added glamour and splendor to the performance.
This was Rihanna’s first stage performance in five years. Her last album, “Anti”, was released in 2016. Rihanna gave birth to her first child, a boy, with rapper A$AP Rocky in May 2022. “Diamonds” was the last song that the singer performed at Super Bowl with fireworks emanating into the sky.
The telecast attracted 100 million viewers in the United States alone, with Rihanna etching her spot, joining her contemporaries performing at Super Bowl like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Prince, Madonna and the Rolling Stones.
