JAPAN: Rent-A-Girlfriend returned with season two on July 2, 2022, following favourable feedback from critics and audiences in season one. With each episode released every Saturday, this week saw the debut of the eighth episode of the romantic comedy anime.
Rent-A-Girlfriend is based on Reiji Miyajima’s 2017 manga of the same name. Till now, the manga has spanned up to 27 volumes. Kazuomi Koga’s directorial romantic-comedy series was adapted into anime in 2020. Mitsutaka Hirota penned the story for the show, and Hyadain provided the catchy music for the anime. Studio TMS Entertainment developed the anime television series.
Rent-A-Girlfriend follows Kazuya Kinoshita’s life encased in a complicated storyline, commencing with his breakup with Mami Nanami. Following the breakup, Kazuya decides to rent a girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara from an online dating app. The mash-up of romance and comedy combines the formula of the anime series.
Rent-A-Girlfriend season two, episode eight, has been released
The first season’s episode one debuted on July 11, 2020, and has since piqued the interest of anime fans. With its romantic and comedic elements, anime provided a breath of fresh air. Season two arrived to fulfil the appetites of anime enthusiasts, following the success of season one.
Season two got off to a good start, and episode eight, titled “Youth and Girlfriend,” continues the trend. The previous episode complicated matters, although Mami is aware of another girl in Kazuya’s life. To make this situation worse for Kazuya, other girls from the dating app arrive, raising the level of excitement among fans.
The complicated aspect of Kazuya’s fate is continued in episode eight, which provides a good amount of comedic elements in the series. The plot progresses slowly, piquing the audience’s involvement.
