UNITED STATES: American rapper Eminem has formally requested Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, a former biotech businessman, to cease using his music in his campaign.

This request was communicated through a letter dated August 23 from BMI, a performing rights organization, which informed Ramaswamy’s campaign that Eminem’s music could no longer be licensed for campaign use.

Vivek Ramaswamy, a tech entrepreneur with no prior political experience, has been gaining momentum in various surveys.

Despite lacking political background, he has criticized his opponents as being influenced by financial interests. He is known for his strong support of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Ramaswamy’s participation in the first Republican primary debate last week sparked significant attention. His opponents, who perceived him as a substantial threat, directed criticism towards him.

Notably, Trump, who is leading in the primary race, opted out of the debate and instead conducted an interview with Tucker Carlson.

The incident underscores the intersection of celebrity endorsements and political campaigns, with musicians like Eminem using their influence to shape the discourse surrounding political candidates’ use of their creative work.
