Rana Daggubati Unveils Exciting Projects at SDCC 2023: Announces Films, Series, and Comics

INDIA: The actor turned Producer, Rana Daggubati, who gained overnight fame by playing the antagonist in Baahubali, recently made his way to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in the US. The actor owned a production house called Spirit Media, under which he announced a new list of films, series, and comics.

Rana Daggubati unveils Spirit Media-patnered comics, films and series

The actor announced his upcoming big-budget film ‘Hiranyakashyap’ and a comic based on the superhero film ‘Minnal Murali’. Besides this, he is all set to unveil the name and release date of Nag Aswini’s action thriller, Project K.

Spirit Media’s lineup of projects includes the film Hiranyakashyap, which is inspired by the story of the demon king Hiranyakashyapu. In the film, Rana Daggubati will play the titular role. Telugu filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas will add his directorial vision and it is expected that he will also pen the story.

Not only that, Rana’s home production company has also announced a historical action-drama series based on the Indian bestseller Lords of the Deccan, written by Anirudh Kanisetty. The storyline is very interesting as it shows the birth of the Chalukya dynasty that ruled southern India. The film will be in partnership with Sony LIV.

Next, the actor announced his partnership with Weekend Blockbusters, the producers of the 2021 Malayalam superhero film Minnal Murali. The joint venture will bring forth the comic character Minnal Murali, who will find a home in the Indian comic magazine Tinkle.

In a statement to the media, Rana said that he wishes to attract audiences all across the world by telling stories that transcend boundaries and inspire the imagination.

Along with Spirit Media, Anant Pai’s Amar Chitra Katha comic book studio, founded in 1967, will be present at booth 4237.

The rising star of Tollywood, who is roaring at the heights of success, was last seen in the Netflix series Rana Naidu, also starring his uncle Venkatesh.

His next upcoming film is Nag Ashwin’s directorial Project K. The actor will be seen opposite Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan.
