Rana Daggubati Talks about Project K: “Film to Break Boundaries Surpassing Bahubali, RRR”

INDIA: Prabhas’ Project K is the much-awaited film from Tollyood. Any update on the film creates ripples among moviegoers. Now, Bahubali star and friend of Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, expressed his excitement for the sci-fi film.

The rising star of Telugu Cinema, Rana Daggubati, who carved a niche for himself in both Bollywood and Tollywood movies, received much praise for his web show Rana Naidu.

The actor came into the limelight after the portrayal of the character of an antagonist Bhallaldev in Baahubali. He recently shared the stage in a panel discussion where he talked about the sci-fi action film Project K, starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. 

Daggubati, in a recent media interaction, said that the film industry wholeheartedly celebrates one another’s films. He continued by mentioning the movie Project K, which is being directed by Nag Ashwin and stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone.

He continued that the industry is looking forward to the Prabhas starrer featurette. He anticipates that the movie will push boundaries that neither Baahubali nor RRR has. 

“Pushing that boundary to the next edge. I am looking forward to that film (Project K), and it could become a global film from Telugu (cinema),” Daggubati added.

As per reports, the bankroller of Project K, Ashwini Dutt, approached veteran actor Kamal Haasan with an extraordinary offer of Rs 150 crore as remuneration to play the antagonist in Project K. 

Prabhas, Deepika, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani will play crucial roles in Project K. The film will follow a futuristic action-packed thriller setting with multiple Hollywood-based action directors set to steer the action department.  

Talking about the film genre, the producer said that the film contains aspects of fantasy and science fiction. He added that it is about Lord Vishnu’s modern-day avatar, but it will also be emotionally charged.

The production is still under process. Thus the film is expected to release in January 2024. However, fans can’t wait to watch the high-octane film on screen.
