INDIA: The Nag Ashwin directorial Project K is officially named Kalki 2898 AD. The teaser for the big-budget Indian sci-fi epic got a big release at San Diego Comic-Con, and it was worth all the hype.
Earlier, the first look of Deepika Padukone and Prabhas was released, which piqued the audience’s interest. Loaded with heavy CGI and VFX, the teaser rolls with stellar action sequences by the Rebel Star Prabahs in a never-before-seen look.
With the San Diego Comic-Con debut, Kalki, 2898 AD, became the first-ever Indian film to debut at the special event.
Kalki 2898 AD first glimpse out
The teaser commences with the lines, “When the world is taken over by darkness, a force will arise. The end begins now.” The elevating background music by Santosh Narayanan tunes in as the clip slowly introduces us to the characters.
The first glimpse showcases nefarious masked soldiers controlling the world and hurting innocent people. As we are introduced to the atrocities they unleash, the clip depicts Deepika’s character as an army recruit.
Later, the teaser cuts to black, and then Prabhas makes a stylish entry as a valiant warrior. Amitabh Bachchan’s character is seen in bandages and this hint he might be Ashwathama from Mahabharat.
All the credit for this level of anticipation goes to Director Nag Ashwin, who has taken a huge step by adding his vision to this big-budget feature. Djorde Stojiljkovic also deserves praise for a picture-perfect cinematography that makes every scene in the teaser a cinematic painting.
Huge props to whoever edited the teaser because it reveals minimum details about the film’s plot. This raises the anticipation for the trailer release. All the necessary elements catapult the range of the film out-of-the-box.
The cast includes Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, alongside Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, in pivotal roles.
The first glimpse of the Kalki 2898 AD blew the minds of movie buffs. The film will arrive on big screens in 2024. Vyjayanthi Movies bankrolled this multi-starrer sci-fi epic.
