Popular Indian Actor Siddharth Shukla Dies At 40

INDIA: Popular television and film actor Siddharth Shukla died after a massive heart attack on Thursday. An official at the Cooper Hospital confirmed Shukla’s death. “He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago,” a senior Cooper Hospital official said in a statement.
The 40-year-old actor was best known for his role in the long-running TV show Balika Vadhu. Shukla is survived by his mother and two sisters.


Shukla began his career in the entertainment industry as a model. He made his acting debut with a lead role in the 2008 television show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. Shukla appeared on various shows such as Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi and Love U Zindagi. However, he became a household name after starring as Shiv in Balika Vadhu.
Shukla also participated in reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, and Bigg Boss 13.

The heartthrob of millions, he won the Bigg Boss season 13. In 2014, Shukla made his Bollywood debut with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya where he had a supporting role.

Shukla was an avid fitness enthusiast. In 2014, he won the Gold Awards Most Fit Actor award and was included in Rediff’s Television’s Top 10 Actors. The actor was also awarded the Wellness Icon of the Year award in the 8th Geospa Asiaspa India Awards. In 2021, he also won the Synth GlobalSpa Fit and Fab Award.

The news of the actor’s death came as a shock for many. Several Bollywood and television celebrities expressed their grief over Shukla’s sudden demise.
