INDIA: Chinese technology giant POCO launched its latest smartphones, the Poco F5 5G and Poco F5 Pro 5G, in select global markets on May 9. Both devices feature Dolby Vision-capable AMOLED displays with 120Hz adaptive refresh rates and are designed with gaming in mind.
Poco F5 5G debuts in India
The vanilla Poco F5 5G debuted in India and will be available through Flipkart starting May 16. The device boasts a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC and is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W Turbocharging.
Pricing and colour options
Poco F5 5G is priced at Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and Rs. 33,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. As a special introductory offer, Poco offers the base variant at Rs. 26,999 and the top-end model with 12GB RAM for Rs. 30,999. The device comes in Carbon Black, Electric Blue, and Snowstorm White shades.

The dual-SIM Poco F5 5G runs on Android 13 based on MIUI 14 and features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC and comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which can be expanded up to 19GB with 7GB of unused storage. It also has an IP53-rated splash-resistant build.
A 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera make up the Poco F5 5G’s triple rear camera configuration. The gadget boasts a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for verification and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. It has two stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos.
