INDIA: Veteran actor Satish Kaushik’s sudden demise brought the entertainment industry into a state of shock, and close friend and colleague Anupam Kher mourned his demise. Kher also shared a throwback video remembering the days he had spent with Kaushik. Now, PM Modi has offered his condolences to Kaushik’s family.
PM Modi took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “I was very sad hearing about Satish Kaushik’s untimely death. In this difficult time, I extend my condolences to you and your family. The late Satish Kaushik was a multi-faceted personality; with his talent, he made an immense contribution to Indian cinema. As a great writer, actor, filmmaker, and producer, he worked in different capacities and impressed in all.”
Further, he wrote in Hindi, “He was inspirational and laid a strong foundation for his family. His loss cannot be expressed in words. He may not be in this world today, but his memories and values will live on through his family.”
Anupam Kher replied to the tweet written by PM Modi in Hindi, “Respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, your sensitive letter has worked as a balm for me and our family in this hour of sorrow and grief.”
“When the Prime Minister of the country gives condolences on the departure of a loved one, one gets the strength to face that sorrow. On behalf of my wife, Vanshika, our entire family, and all Satish ji fans, I thank you and pray to God for a long and healthy life. Regards, Shashi Kaushik,” he added.
Satish Kaushik is known for his iconic roles and comic timing. He was last seen in the film Chhatriwali (2023). Later, he completed filming for Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film, Emergency, in which he will be seen as the late politician Jagjivan Ram.
