INDIA. Rajasthan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his two-day visit to Rajasthan and Gujarat with the aim of laying the foundation stones and inaugurating development projects in the technologically advanced cities of both states.
During the visit, PM Modi inaugurated 1.25 lakh PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) and launched “Urea Gold,” which will serve as a comprehensive destination for Indian farmers. Additionally, he addressed a public meeting in Sikar.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) stated that PM Modi also initiated the onboarding of 1500 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).
Furthermore, he released the 14th installment amounting to Rs 17,000 crore to 8.5 crore farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme.
In the medical sector, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for several medical colleges to be established in different parts of Rajasthan, with seven more medical colleges to follow.
The visit to Rajasthan also included the inauguration of six Eklavya Model Residential Schools and Kendriya Vidyalayas in Udaipur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, and Dungarpur, along with Kendriya Vidyalaya Tiwari in Jodhpur. Additionally, the PM inaugurated the Greenfield Airport in Rajasthan’s Rajkot.
In Gujarat, PM Modi inaugurated various multi-development projects, including Sauni Yojana Link 3 Packages 8 and 9, worth Rs 860 crore.
The recently completed SAUNI scheme will provide water to 52,398 acres of irrigable land in 95 villages and potable water to approximately 98,000 people in the Saurashtra region.
The advanced city of Gandhinagar also witnessed the inauguration of SemiconIndia 2023, where PM Modi addressed a large gathering.
The visit underscores the government’s commitment to promoting and facilitating development initiatives across the two states, enhancing the well-being of farmers, and bolstering infrastructure and education sectors.
