INDIA: Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan slided into trouble amid the release of its first track Besharam Rang. SRK’s spy action thriller is all set to hit theatres on January 25, 2023.
Pathaan has to undergo many changes for the approval of the Central Board of Film Certification. The movie has SRK and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles, aside from John Abraham.
Pathaan is ready to release following 10 cuts
Previously, the Board has asked the makers of Pathaan to make corrections in the movie to maintain a harmonious environment in society. As per reports, three changes have been made to the controversial song Besharam Rang.
The shots of Deepika Pakukon’s sensuous dance moves in the lyrics “Bahut Tang Kiya” and a side pose have been cut off from the song. However, whether the saffron colour monokini is changed or not is still unconfirmed.
Many dialogues have also been changed. “RAW” was changed to “Humare”, and “Langde Lulle” was replaced with “Toote Foote”. Reports claimed that “PMO” was replaced with “President/Minister” in 13 places.
Many words like “Mrs Bharatmata”, “Ashok Chakra” and “KFB” were also underdone, a reference to Russia was removed, and the word used to identify alcohol, typically scotch, was replaced with the word drink.
Now the runtime of the much-hyped movie is 146 minutes (2 hours and 26 minutes). Making more than 10 cuts, the movie is ready for its grand release.
After a hiatus of four years, Shah Rukh Khan is returning to the big screen, and the film’s producers have taken special care to ensure that he retains the popularity with the public for which he is renowned.
Siddharth Anand is the director of the high-profile thriller film, which is produced by Yash Raj Films. The Central Board of Film Certification has now awarded the film a U/A certificate (CBFC).
