All the funds that are generated from her website are used for temple development and poor and needy people. Her observations related to palmistry are recorded in the palmistry blog.
Saradha writes articles for Express Star Teller magazine under the pen name Tapasyah Iyer where she offers free services to her clients. Saradha is an Electronics and Communication engineer who decided to pursue her passion for Palmistry.
She is Jyotish Praveena from ICAS and has pursued courses in Palmistry from the Institute of Palmistry, New Delhi. Saradha studied Pythagorean numerology under the guidance of Dr. Ravindra Kumar (Ph.D. in Maths IIT). Her seriousness in the study of divination methods is evident, when she says, ‘knowing the unknown’, is her penance and meditation. Her adopted pen name ‘Tapasyah’ is a Sanskrit word for penance.
Early Life
Growing up, Saradha had an inclination towards divination studies. She was always curious about palmistry and its working. Interestingly, her maternal grandfather PS Narayana Iyer was also an astrologer.
“It started right from school days if I remember correctly. I used to observe the palms of all my friends and wonder, why the lines are different in each and every palm. But it started into a serious journey with 2 major incidents. People normally get married after they get engaged at least 95%. But one of my neighbors, also my very close friend, went into a deep depression for many months, after her engagement broke due to some reasons.”
“One of my cousins whom I had always looked upon to, was very active, vibrant, and extremely ambitious. She wanted to enter public life. She was forced by the situation to leave her career dreams due to her domestic situation after marriage. My cousin struggled hard for many years to come out of the clutches, but in vain.”
These two incidents had a huge impact on Saradha which in turn changed her perspective towards palm reading.
“There are situations beyond our control. We may dream and plan something. But something else may be written on our Palm! Knowing them beforehand could at least reduce the blow (as in the first case) to some extent and look for some compromising alternatives and accept the situation more wisely (as in the second case),” Saradha said.
Saradha also believes that a Palmist should aim to push the client in a positive direction and shouldn’t shift their focus by pinpointing the auspicious signs.
Solving global issues with Palmistry
Saradha believes that self-reformation brings social reformation. So, people should focus on reforming themselves to bring social change.
“Palmistry plays a huge role in knowing yourself and improving us on a deep level. It points out your strengths and weaknesses and the lessons we need to learn. The art helps us know our life’s purpose and helps us develop wisdom, patience, and courage. It shows a torch, how our psychological nature can affect our health, career, and relationships.”
Saradha emphasized that when each individual is guided wisely, society becomes a more peaceful place to live in.
COVID-19 has negatively impacted many lives around the globe. According to Saradha, the pandemic can be brought under control if one adopts “Praana Mudra”. The Prana Mudra means “the energy or else spirit of life” in its own self. Amongst all the energies required for maintaining the balance of nature.
Future of Palmistry
In the future, Saradha wishes to see Palmistry as one of the vocational courses in various universities. Palmistry can provide solutions for personal and professional life problems.
“Relationship issues can be foreseen well beforehand, using Palmistry and painful mistakes can be avoided. Along with this, in the business front, employers can utilize Palmistry, as a tool, and allocate employees accordingly for suitable profiles in their business.”
When asked about the changing palm lines, Saradha said, “The truth is that the lines keep changing. The speed with which they change is so slow that the change is unnoticeable. The path traced by the three main lines ( Life Line, Heart Line, Head Line) formed from childhood remains almost the same, with minor changes. Other lines, Influence lines, Minor lines undergo changes depending upon the positive or negative attitudes/influences/habits upon our life.”

Doubts surrounding Palmistry
Many people have doubts about divination subjects like Palmistry and term it as a “superstitious sign”. Saradha believes that to revive the faith of ancient subjects in common man, a palmist should be accurate, genuine, and kind.
“It is never a question of belief; the only scientific attitude one can take on any subject is whether it is true. The law of gravitation worked as efficiently before Newton as after him. The cosmos would be fairly chaotic if its laws could not operate without the sanction of human belief.”
“Charlatans have brought the stellar science to its present state of disrepute. Astrology/Palmistry is too vast, both mathematically and philosophically, to be rightly grasped except by men of profound understanding. If ignoramuses misread the heavens and see there a scrawl instead of a script, that is to be expected in this imperfect world. One should not dismiss wisdom with the wise,” she added.
While talking about Ramana Maharishi’s advice, she urged people to be moderate in everything. “Do not go to extremes. Keep balance and harmony.”
