JAPAN: You heard it right! the most anticipated or, perhaps, the most requested anime, One-Punch Man, is returning for the third instalment after three years. It’s been a long time since season two debuted, and after the series’ climactic battle, fans were excited about the next instalment, but no news has been released since then.
The official website of One-Punch Man made the announcement
It is now official that One-Punch Man season three will actually happen. The announcement was made via the official anime website, which released a new key visual. Chikashi Kubota illustrated the poster for the upcoming season, and he also did the character design for the first and second seasons.
The poster depicts Saitama and Garou in a stunning stance, with both characters standing opposite each other. The key visual also reads “One Punch Man 3” .
Yusuke Murata and One illustrated and wrote the One-Punch Man manga while Shueisha published it in 2012. One originally wrote the web manga and self-published it in 2009, which later bagged the manga adaptation in print and online format in Weekly Shonen Jump.
One-Punch Man received its first anime adaptation in 2015, consisting of 12 episodes. The anime talent hub, Studio Madhouse, produced the first season, which received highly positive feedback from the fans for its smooth and intriguing animation.
The series returned for its second season in 2019, but the studio was changed to J.C. Staff, which elicited mixed reactions from fans. The second season of One-Punch Man, like the first, had 12 episodes.
The long wait for the third season of One-Punch Man is over. Aside from the illustrator Chikashi Kubota, no information on the voice cast or release date has been confirmed. The creators have also not revealed the anime studio. It is expected that the show’s animation will be handled by a different studio this time.
In the United States, One-Punch Man is available on Crunchyroll. Both seasons of the anime are available on Netflix in India.
