UNITED STATES: Later this year, the business will release the Nothing Phone (2), with an emphasis on the US market, according to the manufacturer.
Nothing Phone 2 will release in India, Europe and the US
Nothing joined the phone market with the innovative Phone (1), which was released in markets like India and Europe but oddly excluded the US from its launch plans.
As CEO Carl Pei stated in an interview this week, Nothing will alter that with the Phone (2), which will debut in late 2023.
When Pei was questioned about why the initial phone wasn’t introduced in the US, he responded that it wasn’t designed to work with the bands that the US carriers used.
He added that the company lacked the resources necessary to adhere to the nation’s accreditation requirements because it was still relatively new to the mobile industry.
Pei states that the company had to outsource work for the mobile team due to the tiny number of engineers on staff. However, this is no longer the case because the team has grown to accommodate the demands of various regions.
Nothing succeeded in introducing the Ear series TWS earbuds to the area, and their popularity has persuaded Pei and Co. of the likelihood that their cellphones would be successful in the near future.
Regarding the Nothing Phone (2), Pei claims that although it will be more expensive, he does not want to call it a “flagship.”
Pei likely hinted that the company is prepared to compete with the big boys like Xiaomi and OnePlus, who have elevated their product portfolios with premium devices like Xiaomi 12S Ultra and the OnePlus 10 Pro.
Besides the release of the smartphone in India, Europe and the US, any additional information about the upcoming product is yet to be revealed.
The business is also working to make the initial Nothing phone’s software experience better, and it accepted the Phone (2) reveal more details in the upcoming months.
