UNITED KINGDOM/INDIA: Nothing Phone (1) will officially go on sale in India and worldwide on July 12. The IT business led by Carl Pei in London has just released its first smartphone. Prior to this, Nothing released ear (1) wireless earbuds for Rs 6,999.
The Nothing Phone (1) will feature a form factor similar to the iPhone 12, which means a boxy shape and a dual back camera configuration that appears the same, according to the company’s previously released design. However, the transparent design approach of the ear (1) will inspire the design.
Expected price of Nothing Phone (1) in India
The price of the Nothing Phone (1) and other information have been leaked before the debut. While some rumours claim that the phone will compete with iPhones, others argue that the smartphone will be far less expensive than some of the most recent iPhone models, costing around Rs 30,000. Variants or specific pricing have not yet been disclosed.
When will the Nothing Phone (1) debut?
The IT company will hold a virtual launch ceremony on the scheduled date at 17:00 CET, which is around 8:30 PM IST. The firm website, YouTube channel, and social media outlets will host the launch event.
Before its official release, the company had already shared a lot of information about the Nothing Phone (1), including its design, chipset, and other details. Let’s quickly review all of the information the firm has so far shared regarding the impending Nothing Phone (1).
Nothing Phone (1) specifications
The Nothing Phone’s design will undoubtedly be its most notable feature (1). The future smartphone will have LED lights that alert users when there is a new notice or call and display the battery charge status in a transparent design that mimics its ear (1).
The internals are not visible despite the transparent design. Instead, the rear cover is constructed in a way that closely resembles the device’s internals being visible. The design is undoubtedly unique compared to other phones.
The IT company has also revealed that a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ processor, not a Snapdragon 800 series chip, will power the Nothing Phone (1). The Motorola Edge 30 is one of a few other phones that feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ SoC.
The Nothing Phone (1) will run on Android 12 based on Nothing OS, as the company has already stated. The business just released the beta version of the Nothing launcher, which has a minimalistic design that is somewhat reminiscent to OxygenOS and iOS.
The company stated that the Nothing Phone (1) will be sold on Flipkart, even though the selling date hasn’t been confirmed yet. The digital behemoth hasn’t yet provided any information regarding its offline sales approach.
