She was recovering, according to Sanjay, but after having another stroke in May of this year, her condition started to deteriorate once more. He added that the family is coping with her bereavement and their financial problems at the same time following her death.

When asked about her final days, Sanjay told ETimes, “Last few weeks, she found it difficult to eat due to a serious throat infection. We could only feed her liquids when she stopped consuming solid food.”

The greatest irony is that she turned 50 the day before last, and we just recently celebrated that milestone (September 16). She couldn’t speak, yet she still seemed extremely content. She accepted my offer to consume her favourite treat, “besan ke laddoo.”

She battled valiantly to survive, he continued. She died around 3 o’clock. She was with me for 32 years, which is the most painful. She was with me even though she wasn’t feeling well.

Now, other than our two children, I don’t have anyone else to call family. To help me care for my mother, my daughter likewise stopped going to school and decided not to take her board exams. I was unable to work since she required my constant presence.

Financial difficulties

Regarding their financial difficulties, Sanjay disclosed that some of his friends and coworkers in the entertainment business, including Ramesh Taurani, Gul Khan, Surbhi Chandna, and CINTAA, had given them financial assistance. To cover the medical costs, he still had to sell his house and car in March of this year, and the proceeds were not substantial.

Haseena Bi, played by Nishi Singh, was well-known for the television series Qubool Hai, which also starred Surbhi Jyoti and Karan Singh Grover. Additionally, she contributed to such programmes as Tenali Rama, Ishqbaaz, and Hitler Didi.
