Nigeria’s Gypsum Powder Production Set To Increase By 2,000 Tonnes

NIGERIA: The BUA Group of companies in Nigeria is set to start the erection of a 2,000 tonnes per day Plaster of Paris (Gypsum Powder) manufacturing plant.

 This was disclosed during the signing of an agreement between BUA and MMM Erba Makina of Turkey – one of the world’s leading suppliers for plaster production – to provide the tools for the plant.

Impacts Of The Agreement

Speaking during the event, the Chairman of BUA, Abdul Samad Rabiu, stated that this signing marked another landmark in BUA’s journey to becoming Africa’s top manufacturing and infrastructure company.

“We are delighted to sign this agreement with a world leader in Plaster manufacturing machinery, MMM Erba Makina, to construct our 2,000 tonnes per day P.O.P. gypsum powder manufacturing plant.

“We, therefore, assure you of their expertise, the standard of equipment and ability to deliver on schedule.

“On completion, this plant will in addition deepen our involvement in the whole housing infrastructure value chain in Nigeria and the West African region,” Rabiu said.

In his remark, Chairman of MMM Erba, Melih Baran Kilic, expressed satisfaction at the chance to work in Nigeria with BUA Group.

“We intend to convey our wealth of proficiency in delivering in some of the world’s top-notch plaster plants to completion on schedule”, Kilic added.
