PAKISTAN. Taxila, Punjab. The nations signed new contracts on 18 June in the field of energy, construction, and exports. On this occasion, the Chinese Ambassador mentioned that the new business deals between HMC and Chinese companies are the start of a friendship.

For the restoration of the heavy mechanical complex, Pakistan took important steps. The government arranged a high profile event for this big day in Taxila. This is where HMC and Chinese companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). Special Assistant for Information to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chairman CPEC Asim Salim Bajwa attended the ceremony as chief guests. On this occasion, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Xao Jing, also attended the ceremony while the Pakistani Ambassador to China was in attendance via conference.

The agreements were signed in the presence of CPEC Chairman Asim Salim Bajwa, and Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. The Managing Director of HMC signed the MOU with the China National Electric Company, China Construction Company, Shing Ling Export Company, and others.

The Chinese ambassador remarked that their countries’ friendship is based on a relationship of seven decades. CPEC helped strengthen this bond even more. “In the very first step we worked on infrastructure and the second stage will open more ways”. The Chinese Ambassador stated before adding, “China worked a lot in the manufacturing industry for almost four decades and it will bring more changes”.
